Users can perform a number of inventory and production reporting transactions using data collection devices including:

Each data collection device/printer is treated as a terminal by the host ERP system, and each device user signs on with his/her own user identifier. User security is controlled using the host system’s security module. Upon signing on to the system, the data collection device user is presented with a list of options related to receiving, shipping, or production control transactions.
